Ivan's First Birthday!

I can't believe that Ivan is already one! This past year sure has flown by. He is so much fun. Here are some of the pictures from his birthday party! He was so cute! He LOVED his birthday cake. Yum Yum!! He was not afraid to dig right in! He made such a mess (yeah that's why we stripped him down to just his diaper). I love to look at the pictures. He has it all over his face and look at his hands!!! Some of his favorites from his birthday: The music and ball gadget thingy from Grandpa Denny, the weed eater from Pampo (I guess Grandpa's know how to pick out the best gifts), and the Animal Farm magnet set from Tyler, Lindsey, Ashton, and Jace. He loves the slide, wagon, sand/water box, baseball set and Sock-Monkey-in-the-box and other presents too! Oh yeah and he LOVES helium balloons. He loved to hold on to them and shake the strings and make them go crazy! He thought that was just so funny. I tried to get him to take a good nap before the party but of course that did not go quite as planned. He only slept for about 30 minutes. He did really good considering he only had a 30 minute nap. He only had one "fit" towards the end of the party. It was when one of the other kids tried to play with his new WeedEater that Pampo gave him! That was his new toy and he did NOT want anyone else to play with it. Other than that he was a very happy kid! Yeah!!! Happy Birthday Baby!!!

Okay, so I am finally going to give this a try. I have been wanting to create a blog for a while but since I work during the day, I like to spend all my extra time with Ivan and Jeremy. I think this will be a fun way that family and friends near and far can see Ivan grow and stay up to date with what's going on with us.

Ivan is now almost 6 months old (on Sept 7)!!! I can hardly believe it. He is so much fun. There are times that I just look at him and such an enormous amount of love envelopes me. He amazes me! Being a mom is incredible and more satisfying than I ever thought! Our lives have definitely changed and I might not always get everything done like I would like to but I wouldn't trade my life for anything.
